PolarisMaps aims to help individuals with deaf-blindness travel independently. The purpose of our project is to provide indoor navigation apps with customizable visual and auditory features. By offering a three-step solution consisting of Planning, Virtual Exploration, and Actual Exploration, our project aims to meet the needs of individuals with varying levels of deaf-blindness, enabling them to navigate shopping malls comfortably.
Our vision is to empower deaf-blind individuals to explore indoor environments confidently and safely, thereby enhancing their motivation to actively engage with the world. We strive to provide an experience that fosters greater independence and ignites curiosity for exploring the world.
